The SACSA Foundation is formed to support the Association through donor-raised funds—investing in people, programs, and professional growth throughout the region.
SACSA Foundation
Established in 1990, the Foundation advances SACSA’s mission by transforming donor generosity into real opportunities for scholars and practitioners across the Association.
Built to sustain SACSA’s core values and the people who live them.
Celebrating 75 years of SACSA: 35 awards in 2024 and 40 in 2025—each at $300 to help members attend the Annual Conference.
Launched in 2023 to honor extraordinary service, scholarship, and commitment.
How We Got Here
Donor support strengthens core values and fuels educational initiatives such as the Dissertation of the Year Award and the Research Incentive Grant. Excellence is celebrated through awards including the Annual Case Study Competition, while emerging professionals access development through Joe Buck Travel Awards.
To power this work, the Foundation leads fundraising programs like the Day of Giving and the SACSA Store, inviting alumni, colleagues, and friends to invest in the profession’s future.
The Gavel & Gravel Society debuts—recognizing professionals whose lasting contributions shape student affairs and enrich the SACSA community. Honorees model service, scholarship, mentorship, and unwavering commitment to higher education.
In celebration of SACSA’s 75 years and its Annual Conference legacy, the Foundation funds 75 Joe Buck Travel Awards—35 in 2024 and 40 in 2025—each providing $300 to help members fully participate in the Annual Conference.
The Foundation’s story is one of commitment to members and dedication to SACSA’s core values—connecting donor generosity to student success, professional learning, and a thriving community of practice.
