Dear SACSA Family,

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your 2023-2024 SACSA President. To our leadership team and conference volunteers, thank you for your tireless service and efforts to continue the great work of SACSA. To our former presidents, thank you for paving the way; your leadership and service to the Association have been unwavering.

SACSA has been my professional home for over 20 years, and during this time, I have developed professionally and personally. Every conference has rejuvenated me and provided me with the opportunity to meet outstanding students, connect with colleagues, gain mentors and mentees, and develop lifelong friendships. I am committed to serving the Association with integrity, transparency, and inclusivity. I will use my leadership experiences to create awareness and positively impact change. My balanced perspective complements many facets of higher education, ensuring that all members are heard and valued. I am eager to work for the organization and continue its commitment to being an innovative, member-centric higher education generalist Association.

Last year, we REIMAGINED our Path Forward during the 2023 conference, and this year, we will EMPOWER EXCELLENCE as we PREPARE FOR THE NOW. Dr. Alicia Golston, Dean of Students at Rhodes College, is the 2024 Conference Chair. Alicia has held several leadership positions within SACSA, and I am excited about the work she and her amazing A-team will do to enhance your conference experience.’ Reconnect at the 2024 SACSA Conference with NASPA Region III, November 2-4, in Charlotte, NC, at the LeMeridien.

As we embark upon our year, I want to express my deep gratitude for your involvement in the Association.
