SACSA's bylaws detail the framework, policies, and procedures governing the association's leadership and operations. If the Executive Committee desires to amend the bylaws, the proposed amendment must be voted on and approved by SACSA's members. Before the vote takes place, the proposed amendment must be published on SACSA's website for 30 days, providing members with the opportunity to raise any related questions or concerns.

Today, the Executive Council proposes a bylaws amendment to:

  1. Sunset the Member at Large 2 position;
  2. Create a VP for Membership within its leadership structure;
  3. Shift specified membership duties currently housed under various EC leadership roles to the VP for Membership;
  4. Redefine expectations for collaboration across EC leadership roles in accordance with the newly created VP for Membership position;
  5. Clarify responsibilities under each of the roles to match current practice; and
  6. Fix non-substantive typographical errors in the reviewed sections.
