We invite faculty, practitioners, and graduate students to submit session proposals that embody The Bridge Forward, reflecting on where we have been, elevating the work we do today, and helping shape bold, student-centered pathways for the future of higher education.
Programs can be designed for higher education administrators and innovators who are eager to share cutting-edge ideas, promising practices, and strategies that strengthen student engagement, learning, success, and institutional impact.
We are excited to offer a variety of program format options. Choose the proposal type that best fits your idea and be sure to submit by the appropriate deadline.

The submission form includes everything proposers need to complete their entry. Use the button below when you are ready.
The form will guide you through the proposal process, but preparing the core pieces in advance can make submission easier.
All proposals should connect to the conference focus area: Reshaping, Reigniting, Reclaiming.
Strong submissions will clearly explain how the proposed session aligns with the selected focus area and with the broader conference theme, The Bridge Forward.
Different proposal types invite different kinds of engagement. The sections below highlight what each format emphasizes based on the submission form.
Pre-conference sessions are advanced learning opportunities designed for deep engagement around one focus area.
Be prepared to include: a detailed facilitation plan, a time breakdown for the full 2.5-hour session, clear learning outcomes, and multiple opportunities for attendees to apply what they are learning.
These are traditional 50-minute breakout sessions and should use creative, audience-engaged techniques.
Be prepared to include: a 50-minute session outline, interactive facilitation ideas, abstract, learning outcomes, and alignment with the conference theme.
These sessions intentionally bridge scholarship and practice.
Be prepared to include: presenters representing both scholarly and practitioner perspectives, a 50-minute outline, and a clear explanation of how research and practical application intersect in the session.
This session type highlights the work of graduate students across the SACSA region.
Be prepared to include: where each presenter was enrolled as a graduate student during the 2026 calendar year, along with the standard proposal materials and 50-minute session outline.
These sessions explore a conference focus area through varied institutional contexts and perspectives.
Be prepared to include: a clear panel structure, description of how different institutional voices will be represented, and sample prompts to guide the conversation.
Roundtables provide a less formal, dialogue-driven format.
Be prepared to include: how you will frame the topic, what 5 to 10 minutes of content you will share, and what prompts will guide attendee dialogue in the discussion portion.
Poster sessions are ideal for research, works in progress, new projects, promising practices, and professional resources.
Be prepared to include: a concise abstract, theoretical framework or conceptual foundation, intended audience, and explanation of how the poster aligns with the conference focus area and theme.
Whether you are sharing research, innovative practice, collaborative models, or lessons learned from the field, SACSA 2026 offers space to contribute to the conversation and shape what comes next for higher education.
