Spotlight: 2025 SACSA Presidential Scholar Experience

“Working with the Executive Council has opened my eyes to the world of Student Affairs and all that I can get involved in. I attended all of the Executive Council meetings, traveled to Louisville for the Mid-Year Meeting, and worked on projects that challenged me to grow. What the Presidential Scholar Does

The Presidential Scholar is a year-long, hands-on internship designed for a first-year master’s student enrolled in a College Student Affairs graduate preparation program. The Scholar works directly with the SACSA President (currently the President-Elect) throughout the President’s term, gaining valuable leadership and professional development experience.

• Assist the President with projects and initiatives
• Attend the Mid-Year Meeting with the Executive Council
• Support planning and execution of the 2026 SACSA Conference with NASPA Region III

How to Apply

Applications are now open for the 2025–2026 SACSA Presidential Scholar Program.

To apply, candidates must submit:

• A current résumé
• A letter of support from their Faculty Program Coordinator
• A letter of support from their current supervisor (full-time position, assistantship, internship, etc.)
