| My SACSA Story |
“Working with the Executive Council has opened my eyes to the world of Student Affairs and all that I can get involved in. I attended all of the Executive Council meetings, traveled to Louisville for the Mid-Year Meeting, and worked on projects that challenged me to grow. One of the mottos I live by is, ‘You get out of it what you put into it.’ SACSA is a great place to get involved and build a solid network of connections that will present you with a worthwhile return on investment. I highly recommend getting started early as a graduate student! - Ashley Sanfacon, Clemson University (Expected Graduation May 2026).
The Presidential Scholar is a year-long, hands-on internship designed for a first-year master’s student enrolled in a College Student Affairs graduate preparation program. The Scholar works directly with the SACSA President (currently the President-Elect) throughout the President’s term, gaining valuable leadership and professional development experience.
Applications are now open for the 2025–2026 SACSA Presidential Scholar Program.
