Greetings, SACSA!
As we prepare to gather in Greenville, South Carolina, November 1–3, for the 2026 SACSA Conference, I find myself reflecting on my 13-year journey with this association. SACSA has been much more than a professional association. It has challenged me, provided opportunities to lead and serve, and encouraged me to give back to a profession I deeply value. Most importantly, SACSA has been my professional home.
I would not be where I am today without the support and mentorship of colleagues who have invested in me throughout my career. SACSA has given me countless opportunities to learn from others, share my experiences, and contribute to the profession.
Over the years, I have served SACSA in various roles, including committee leadership, Member-at-Large, Conference Chair—twice!—and now President-Elect. I have also served as a board member and Foundation Chair for the SACSA Foundation. Each role has strengthened my commitment to inclusion, professionalism, collaboration, and collegiality.
Some of my most meaningful experiences have involved investing in other professionals. Serving as faculty for the New Professionals Institute and Mid-Managers Institute has been a highlight of my career. These experiences have reminded me that, regardless of where we are in our careers, there is always something to learn from one another.
As we gather in Greenville, I encourage you to consider how you want to engage with SACSA. Whether you have been involved for years or are new to the association, there are many ways to contribute: share your experience, attend sessions, volunteer, present your work, or simply start a conversation. Every form of engagement strengthens our association and helps create the professional home that makes SACSA special.
I am grateful for the many ways SACSA has shaped my journey and look forward to seeing you in Greenville this November!
It's SACSA Time!
