Dear SACSA Family,
I hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe and well. In the wake of Hurricane Helene, my thoughts and deepest sympathies are with those the storm has directly impacted. Please know that we stand in solidarity with you during this difficult time. This disaster has brought immense challenges, disrupting lives, businesses, and campuses. Yet, this crisis has also illuminated the resiliency and collegiality that define SACSA.
As some communities face the daunting task of rebuilding, keep in mind that our strength lies in our ability to unite during challenging times. Please consider offering a helping hand to our colleagues. Whether it’s donating necessities like food, water, or clothing, assisting in cleanup efforts such as debris removal or home repairs, providing emotional support through counseling, or simply being a listening ear, your expression of care and concern can be a lifeline to those in need. The smallest gesture can make a world of difference.
As we navigate this recovery, please know you are not alone. Our interconnectedness is like a tightly woven fabric, binding us together in times of need. It is this unity that will be our greatest stability as we weather this storm and emerge even stronger.
Please stay safe, show kindness, give yourself and one another grace, and, most importantly, remain hopeful. We are here for you. Do not hesitate to let us know if and how we can best support you.
With SACSA Love,
Jane Adams-Dunford, Ed.D
